What Is A Circle of Support*?

A network of supportive people formed around the person with a disability.

'Circle of Support' is a wonderful, purposeful mechanism to bring a network of people together in support of the person with a disability. This 'circle' commits to help enrich the life experience of the person and to guide them along a pathway of self discovery and achieving goals.

Diagrams in the two-page Circles of Support worksheet will allow you to begin the first steps of identifying persons who support you. We suggest you learn about the developers' original intentions for this exercise prior to completing this with your loved one.
